The first step in design is to find out all that we can about the building site. This information allows us to work within the parameters and limitations of State and Local jurisdictions. This research creates the foundation to confidently move forward with the project.

During this phase, the Architect and Client work together to flush out the spatial requirements of the project. The creative process should be a collaborative effort and is usually very exciting!

Once the Schematic Design has been completed, the Architect will coordinate the drawings with the project consultants (e.g. Structural and Civil engineers). The technical drawings that are produced are submitted to the local jurisdictions for approval. In tandem, the Architect will create the Construction Documents, which contain the remaining information to hand off to the Builder.

Interior Design is the process of flushing out the interiors of a project. This includes interior elevations, 3D modeling, finish selection, and fixture selection

During the course of construction the Architect monitors the Builder’s progress. The Architect acts as the Client’s advocate to ensure that construction is in conformance to the Permit and Construction Documents.
